USA Tariff Changes: Key Information for eCommerce Sellers
The US has announced that from 1st February 2026, an additional 10% tariff may be applied to goods where the country of origin is France, Germany, Finland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom. This may rise to an additional 25% in June.
Remember, the country of origin is generally the country of manufacture rather than the country of export.
While this news about increased tariffs adds a layer of complexity, at OCS, we have developed solutions to help our customers navigate these changes. For example, if your goods are sold to US consumers by a US company, but warehoused outside the US, there may be options for a B2B2C process which manages tariffs both efficiently and compliantly.
We are happy to have a conversation to see if you might qualify for a B2B2C process for eCommerce goods sold to the USA.
