Fulfilment and delivery-wise, they are doing a great job; we have no complaints. We’ve been through our fair share of fulfilment and delivery centres, and we are really happy with the service we’re getting from the OCS team.

We’ve found the OCS team to be receptive and accommodating at all levels and in some cases, help to pick us up in areas that we’d not thought of, or simply got wrong. We have more than a supplier relationship with OCS, it’s like being a single business, which makes for a great collaborative approach to growing our business. If OCS do one thing really well, it is their international shipping, specifically to the US. Some 55 per cent of our volume goes to North America, and for a US customer, it can be daunting ordering from an overseas brand. OCS’s US shipping has the best pricing on the market, and we believe is unmatched in terms of other shipping services. I have US customers who can order from me on a Friday and they get their items delivered on Monday. Our promised delivery time is three to seven working days, and we are delivering within four days on average, so it is a really strong proposition.

Ultimately, the fulfilment and shipping aspect is the first real experience our customer gets when they order and our trust is then handed over to OCS, which is a big commitment. It’s up to them to meet the fulfilment and delivery KPIs. We can offer the best service possible, but it can be quickly let down by poor fulfilment and shipping and can result in negative reviews online; we don’t get this thanks to OCS.

OCS is a very flexible partner for Boden, handling exports to most of our major international markets including export and return cross-border processes for orders out of our Customs warehouse. US is the largest overseas market for Boden but EU sales are growing strongly with OCS supporting EU logistics including duty drawback on high value returns.
