Severe weather in the North Eastern USA – potential disruption

Unprecedented winter weather is currently affecting North Eastern USA, which may cause disruptions to shipping schedules into and around the region.

Current Situation

On 23 February, all flights from London Heathrow (LHR) to the following hubs were cancelled:

  • New York (JFK)
  • Newark (EWR)
  • Boston (BOS)
  • Philadelphia (PHL)

While the most severe conditions are centred in New Jersey, New York, and southern New England, road travel across the entire North East has also been affected.

Our Contingency Plans

At OCS Worldwide, we utilise eight different entry points into the USA. This multi-hub network allows us to be agile; where possible, we are actively working to divert deliveries to alternative routes to bypass the affected areas.

However, please be aware that local ground transport delays are possible due to the hazardous road conditions.

Our Commitment

Our team is working tirelessly to minimise disruption to shipments. We are monitoring the situation in real-time and will provide further updates as weather conditions change.
